Freshmen Orientation at Missouri Valley College, on the weekend prior to the start of classes on Aug. 22, brought the new college students together for a barbecue, recreation, and friendly competition in the quad.

In teams designated by bright T-shirts, freshmen participated on Saturday, Aug. 20, in activities, such as races, pyramid-building, tug-of-war, and a word game. Leading the teams were the faculty members who are teaching the Freshmen Seminar classes. The classes are designed to guide freshmen toward good study habits and knowledge about college life.
