Athletics and scholarship are an impressive mix.

The NAIA has announced the 2012 Spring Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes.  To be eligible for this honor student-athletes must be nominated by their institution’s head coach, must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, and must have achieved junior academic status in the classroom.

Missouri Valley College had five student-athletes achieve this honor:

Weston Loftin (Senior, Ava, Mo.)-Baseball

John Cozort (Senior, Potosi, Mo.)- Men’s Golf

Janie Jungermann (Senior, Flint Hill, Mo.)-Softball

Jennifer Palmatory (Senior, Cairo, Mo.)-Softball

Jason Rolle (Senior, Nassau, Bahamas)-Men’s Tennis
