A flash mob of dance breaks out on the quad in the late morning on Wednesday, Aug. 29.

Students, including members of the MVC Repertory Dance Ensemble, cheerleaders, wrestlers, show choir members and others, participated in the first “Flash Mob” event on the MVC campus on Wednesday, Aug. 29.

The idea came from Chief Academic Officer Sharon Weiser, said Janie Morgan, assistant professor of Dance,  who then with some of her dance students (Rachel LaGrou, Kelby Lawson, Bradford Scott, Sydney Bradford, and Ashlen Bryant) created the routine and taught the choreography to the other participants. They also produced an instructional video posted on YouTube.

A large crowd of students, faculty and staff gathered on the quad to watch and enjoy the creative presentation on a beautiful day during the second week of classes and as part of the ongoing Convocation activities.

Students keep the musical motion going for the first flash mob event on campus.
