The Missouri Valley College Women’s Basketball team is starting the season fresh. Their new head coach, Justin Rees from Lawrence, Kansas, has the ladies working hard mentally and physically to prepare for the tough games to come.

“You’ll see one the hardest working teams…a much faster pace that will excite the fans…expect us to win more games,” Coach Justin Rees said about what the fans can expect for the upcoming season.

The team will bring back 11 returners and many more new faces that will contribute to the season. Senior forward Gabi Morales said, “You can expect a lot of fast pace, a lot of running.” She added that it’ll be fun and exciting basketball to watch. Morales was honored with HAAC All-Conference last season and is fourth in the nation for blocked shots.

The season opener will be November 1st, against William Penn University at their place.
