The American Red Cross came to Missouri Valley College to give the opportunity for students to donate blood. The blood donation was a free event open to anyone. Students were able to set up an appointment or walk-ins were welcome as well. Drinks, snacks, and American Red Cross pins were provided to the students who donated their blood.

Rodney Matthews said, “Right now I currently have a little sister who is dealing with cancer and she needs blood tran fusiuons every week.”

In the video below, students explain why it’s important to them to give blood.
