College isn’t just about going to class and doing homework. Getting involved on campus by joining organizations and participating in events is also just as important as being a nerd Monday through Friday.

Missouri Valley’s Greek Life informed potentials of their organizations with Meet the Greek in the quad during lunch on Friday, Sept.5. The sororities and fraternities gave information about their community service, fundraisers, and social aspects.

“Meet the Greeks is very important because recruitment is next week and it’s really good to have girls talk to us so we can get to know them and learn more about them,” Theta Phi member Taylor Garton said.

Recruitment starts Sept.8 in the Malcom Center at 6:30 pm for Alpha Sigma Alpha and Theta Phi. Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma did not participate in this event. Zeta Phi Beta is holding a social Sept. 19 and their informational will be Sept.26. Phi Beta Sigma still hasn’t determined a date for their informational.
