The Flatliners gave their opening show in the MET Theatre behind Mac hall Sept 2 with a new crew. Elora Carriker, Ben Corkill, Nathan Gerdts, Tyrone Harris, Ally Taylor, and Johanna Thomas are the new faces of The Flatliners. MVC Students packed the theatre with excitement and curiosity from the new crew. Their act was scripted improv but had a lot of interaction with the audience.

A huge performance filled with dancing horses and undercover bosses took off in an unusual direction from the subject on Velociraptors.

MVC Student Terrence Mickens says “Flatliners has come a long way with new faces and new talents. They made a great connection.”

The Flatliners opened their year with a full house of MVC Students and Marshall Residence. The theatre was filled with smiling faces and laughter not just from the audience but the performers as well.

“There was a lot of anticipation and hype,” says Tyrone Harris, a returning member of the Flatliners. “The new members seem to fit right in. We just kind of get each other.”

The connection made on stage seemed to make a strong first impression of the upcoming year. MVC Student Rene Buendia says “they did a great job. I think it’s going to be an exciting new year for the Flatliners.”

The next Flatliners show will be Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 9:30 p.m. in the MET Theatre.
