Missouri Valley College reported its official enrollment numbers in September, showing a 12% increase in enrollment for the current academic year.

The school also saw a 6% higher return rate this year compared to the year prior. Dr. Joe Parisi, who was installed as the 14th president of MVC this fall, explained why the college is seeing this incredible increase.

“There were many new features that attracted the new class, including big changes in student services, where the college spent over a million dollars on software that streamlines the enrollment, financial aid and housing signup experiences,” he said.

The new features and the family-like environment at MVC make this increase happen along with the community that values the students’ educations.

Another key factor in enrollment is the 13 new online courses available. In the last year, MVC added Business Administration, Economics, Elementary Education, Agribusiness, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Finance, Marketing, Nursing, Sports Management and a Master’s in Educational Administration and Nursing. These new online courses provide another reason for incoming new students to enroll in MVC. As Dr. Parisi said, it is “a must in today’s environment.”

As Missouri Valley College experiences this substantial surge in enrollment, the institution remains committed to its mission of delivering an outstanding education to a diverse student population while experiencing academic excellence and a vibrant campus atmosphere.

With the changing of seasons and the campus abuzz with the enthusiasm of new students, Missouri Valley College finds itself in a promising era characterized by growth, innovation, and dedication to education. The college and its community eagerly anticipate the opportunities and achievements that this enrollment surge will bring in the years ahead, furthering its status as an educational and community focal point.
