The Haley Browning Breakfast Fundraiser and Silent Auction held by the Missouri Valley College Student Nurse Association will take place from 8 to 11:30 a.m. April 7 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Marshall.

This Fundraiser is held in honor of Haley Browning, a little girl who was a part of the Marshall Community. Haley was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 10 in 2015, and sadly passed in 2017.

Alli Ferrari, a senior nursing major, said: “We put on this event every year since 2016 to help raise money and donate all of our proceeds to Children’s Mercy of Kansas City.”

There are usually about 350 people who attend this event, last year they were down in numbers but would love to get it back up this year.

“Some of the faculty are actually related to Haley so it’s really cool for them and the family as well,” Ferrari said.
