Handshake, a novel job-searching platform, is now accessible to Missouri Valley students. This service provides a wide range of opportunities, including internships, full-time positions, and roles for students.

“Handshake enables students to search for and apply to various job types, including internships, full-time roles, and student-specific positions,” said Katlyn Flowers, Career Services Coordinator at Student Success.

All Vikings should have received an email inviting them to activate their Handshake account. Once activated, students can complete their profiles and begin exploring job opportunities that align with their interests.

Handshake’s features allow users to indicate their job search status, preferences for job types, desired work locations, roles, industries, and their skills. The platform is designed for ease of use and personalization, enabling students to efficiently set up their profiles.

Nicholas Jeffries, a student at Missouri Valley, said, “The prompts provided a clear direction for my job search. I appreciated the questions about courses, interests, and skills—it made the process straightforward without needing to overthink my responses.”
