Missouri Valley College put on a weekend full of events and fun for recruits in hopes of getting them to sign and be future Vikings for the upcoming Fall semester.
The weekend started on Saturday, with recruits getting a chance to tour the school but in a more indepth way. They were able to talk to the financial aid and business office and get an understanding on how payment and scholarships work here at Valley. After the tour the students got to experience a college football game here at Missouri Valley. They filled the stands and watched the football team play their Purple versus White spring game.
“It was a good thing to have the recruits experience a gameday feel here at valley, because it definitely could help get commits,” Football coach Jake Wilson said.
After the football game the students had a break, but things picked right back up with the softball and baseball games. The recruits then went to the Indian Foothills Park and got to experience the spring sports Valley has to offer.
The current students at Missouri Valley feel that something like this would definitely help the school in the long run.
Junior student Logan Cunningham said: “I feel like this is good for the school because they are putting their best foot forward and presenting the very best the school has to offer.”
Freshman student Adrian Zamora said: “I wish I had something like this last year when I took my visit to MoVal, it would have definitely sold me.”
