Acay will present there a paper titled “The Logic Of Arguments In The Humanities: A Philosophical Inquiry.”

This paper as for goal to show the structure of arguments that is used or displayed in Humanities and in Social Sciences

“In the humanities we do not need the concept of rationality, we need the concept of being reasonable,” he said. “We do not have an algorithm or a decision procedure. In Humanities the best we can do is to employ the concept of being reasonable in the process of discussion.”

Going to this conference is a way for Acay to represent Missouri Valley College and for him this is something important.

“It means a lot, this is my second home, this is home to me, from the academic point of view,” he said. “This is my college and representing it in international conferences is significant and meaningful to me.”
