The Alumni Association Fashion Show and Pop-up shopping event was an amazing experience for surrounding boutiques to promote their business and meet new people.
It was an opportunity for students to network with other students they may not know. Whether it was backstage, on the runway, or during pop-up shopping.
“It was fun to get to know the models and do their hair,” Stylist Abbi Walters said. “I hope we can do this again next year.”
With the help from Marshall Chamber of Commerce and other sponsors the event came together well and had a great turnout.
“The Chamber was happy to help support the first ever Fashion Show,” Amanda Linneman, Director of Marshall Chamber of Commerce, said.
This event was a cross between the community and Missouri Valley College. It was a great collaboration and brought many people together on campus to see students showcasing their talents and the vendors showcasing their businesses.
Annie + Austen is a jewelry boutique that brought their boutique to MoVal. The owners of Annie + Austen had a great time at the fashion and the pop-up shopping event.
“We were so blown away by the fashion show and the student population here at Valley,” The owners of Annie + Austen said.
The feedback from the fashion show has been positive and a great opportunity for students to reach out to surrounding boutiques. Students, vendors, and attendees are excited for the next fashion show.
