There is a new addition to the President’s senior leadership team that will hopefully benefit the college in the future. Missouri Valley College announced Lisa Pelofsky as the new chief grants officer as well as the government relation liaisons.

Lisa Pelofsky

Pelofsky, originally from Kansas City, was first on Capitol Hill, serving as a Congressional staffer. And for the past 25 years, she’s served in many different fundraising positions on Congressional and Senatorial campaigns in both the Midwest and the East Coast.

MVC president Dr. Joe Parisi explained what goes on behind the scenes when it comes to making such a hiring decision.

“We’ve had Lisa Pelofsky on staff for quite some time, and we felt like based on the work that’s been conducted…the work was so good we decided to just elevate her and promote her to a higher level,” Parisi said. “Lisa was a part of our new nursing campaign…so she helped with grants we were able to ascertain.”

In the press release, Pelofsky explained what has stood out to her about MVC.

“Missouri Valley College has some very notable achievements recently,” Pelofsky said. “There’s a lot of momentum on the campus and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
