Convocation, a tradition at Missouri Valley College, is the ceremonial start of the academic year.

The event recognizes the diversity of the MVC student body, introduces students to faculty and coaches and allows President Joe Parisi a chance to share his vision for the coming year.

This year also featured a speech by Mass Communication instructor Chaz Maddi, the most recent recipient of the John McCallum Excellence in Teaching Award.
