Missouri Valley College Student Activities transformed the Malcolm Center gym into an extraordinary casino, offering students opportunities to play cards, interact, socialize and build friendly relationships with other students.

This event drew in many students from all grades and different backgrounds to try their luck at various casino games. With tables in every corner surrounding the event, fun decorations, it was a night that brought a touch of Las Vegas to the gym.

Walking in, students were handed $50,000 in play money, and one raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize. As they went in, there were 10 tables, and a diffuser air machine. With everyone wanting to participate, the stakes were high and the companionship amid students made it a memorable experience.

 Kendall Frank, one of the participants, said the fact that so many students were able to come together made the event memorable.

“It’s great with everyone here and playing with similar interests,” he said. “It’s always a great experience with everything, and it gets a little busy, but at the end of the day, it’s fun.”

This opinion was shared by many students, including David Lizarraga Rivas, who appreciated the opportunity to bond over similar interests and friendly competition.

“It’s fun but also having different events will be important because having this too much will be boring, but having more options for the raffle will be fun!” he said.

This feedback shows the importance of having a variety and the enthusiasm that additional raffle options could bring to future events. 

Hailey Davis also shared her thoughts, saying, “It’s fun but there should be more tables so we have more opportunities to play. I like that a lot of people showed up. I don’t know what I’m doing, but I’m here!”

Casino Night wasn’t just about the games, it was a way to bring students together to bond and compete against each other. It provided a break from other tasks and allowed students to unwind and enjoy themselves. Overall the casino night was a fantastic experience and success, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the organizers and participants. It was a night to remember filled with excitement and new memories
