Missouri Valley College’s Murrell Library has made some modifications throughout its building, making it more accessible and comfortable for students.

The library has added more quiet study zones and designated rooms for tutors to help students with their classes. The changes are already being noticed and appreciated by students.

“The private rooms help me focus on getting my work done and completing my study hours quicker than before,” said David Lizzarraga, a sophomore.

Fellow sophomore Jakari Johnson is another student who spends time in the library each week.

“It’s a more relaxed environment for me and my other classmates to get group projects done,” he said. “I feel more motivated to study and enjoy my time in the library.”

A student worker at the library, Serenity Delagarza, said the changes have affected everyday operations.

“I’ve noticed more students are coming to study now that the space is more inviting,” she said. “The library feels like a place where people can actually get things done, instead of just being in a room to get your study hours in.”
