With the school year coming to an end, students are looking for summer internships. Internships can be important for giving students applicable and professional experience that will translate post-graduation.
Missouri Valley College provides an internship program for their students and these internships are available for application. Internships are offered in most Associates, Baccalaureate and Masters programs and are often requirements for graduation at Missouri Valley College. These internships may be paid, unpaid or partially paid.
Before applying for a summer internship, students should meet with their advisors to discuss what is best for them. Students applying for the Missouri Valley Internship Program must be in their final year of academic study although there may be exceptions.
To apply for the internship program there are three steps that must be completed after meeting with an advisor. Appendix A, B and C of the internship packet must be completed. These documents must then be sent to the Division Dean or Chair for review. After this, students will be referred to and meet with a faculty internship supervisor.
For international students there are additional requirements for internships. International students must meet with the Designated School Official to ensure they receive full credit for their internship. For more information, visit the Office of the Registrar’s page at the Missouri Valley College website.
