Creativity lit up the Malcolm Center Thursday night as students gathered for a tie-dye event. The event drew the attention of many participants who were handed a shirt to create a masterpiece of art.
“It’s great to use some of my free time for events like this, I love to work with colors and make something from it; it’s really exciting,” said Jozelynn Bostick, “I’m glad I came and got to tie-dye a free shirt.”
Another student, Angel Lopez said he loved how creative people got.
“I thought it was fun, especially helping other people figure out how they wanted to make theirs,” he said. “It’s very inspiring to see people bring out their creativity and express themselves.”
Another student, Federica Gammarota, a student from Italy said she was not used to events like this.
“It was a nice experience, getting a shirt and painting all over it,” she said. “I got to create my own abomination with different colors they gave us.”
People got to gather around and make new friends just by showing up to this event. Many left with creative and colorful shirts that they created.
