Finals are just around the corner, and that means lots of studying and late nights. Music is a tool that helps people persevere through the end of the school year.

Ten students have been interviewed to tell us what their favorite song is to listen to while studying.

With many genres of music, you can find your favorite kind.

Ryan Sullivan likes to listen to “Chest Pain” by Malcolm Todd, while Kenley Thornhill listens to “In Between” by Treaty Oak Revival. Olivia Randolph and Harper Herring are country music listeners, as Olivia listens to “Hell Is a Dance Floor” by Vincent Mason and Harper listens to “Jersey Giant” by Evan Honer.

James Robert Reed Jr.’s favorite song is “Ghost” by Kid Cudi, which is much different than Anthony Pacheco’s taste in music, as his favorite song is “Jam Inside Your Love” by Sam Green. Quinlen Pederson likes to get some upbeat music to get him hyped up, so he listens to “Sicko Mode” by Travis Scott.

Quinlen Pederson says that finals time is very stressful for him, so listening to his music relieves lots of stress and tension.

Connor Bell listens to “Self Care” by Mac Miller, while Jentry Pendergraft listens to “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers. Colton Myers relaxes while he studies and loves to listen to “The Weary Kind” by Ryan Bingham.

Missouri Valley students all have different tastes, but if you are looking for some songs that can help you study, these might be the songs for you. Check out the playlist on Spotify below:
