Missouri Valley College welcomed hundreds of guests to participate in the Third Annual Athletic Auction. Ticket Prices started at $100 and varied depending on sponsors and their level of sponsorship.

Assistant Athletic Director of Coach onboarding and mentoring, Vladimir Simic, expressed how hard the Campus Faculty had been working since they started planning for the event back in 2024.

“We had a big committee,” said Simic. “It required lots of time, management, and marketing.”

Simic also mentioned that Assistant Athletic Director Keeley Boss was the master behind the entire job as she spent countless hours planning and organizing.

On August 8th, doors opened in the evening at 5, and shortly after, guests were served a dinner provided by Fresh Ideas. Along with dinner, there were two bar stations Valley athletes helped run, where guests were able to get cocktails and other drinks.

A few athletes from the teams were called up on stage to speak and represent their teams and Valleys athletics as a whole. Kloee Mills, a Moval Cheerleader and President of the Student Body, was one of those called up.

“I’ve been through a lot as a student athlete here at Valley and it’s nice to see that the hard work is recognized in some way,” said Mills.

Men and Women’s Soccer, Track and Cross Country, Golf, Football, and Cheer all were a part of the auction. By setting up tables, serving food and drinks, and cleaning up, the athletes were a huge part in the event running smoothly and represented Valley’s Athletic teams in real life giving the guests a feel of who the proceeds are going to.

After guests ate and were settled, the bidding of the items began. There was a live auction as well as a silent auction where guests could bid for items from their phones. Some of these items included restaurant gift cards, a 65” T.V, and even the opportunity to become coach for a day for some of the athletic teams.

There were lots of different things to win which made the event more special and fun.

Guests had a good time and over $100,000 was raised so Valley took this auction as a success.
