Missouri Valley College hosted Movie Night featuring Life of the Party, a comedy starring Melissa McCarthy as a newly divorced mom who returns to college alongside her daughter. Students gathered for snacks, laughs and a night of connection. The film’s mix of humor and heart kept many entertained, turning an ordinary evening into a memorable campus moment.
MVC student Grace Lenn said the event was a great idea and something she would attend again.
“I think it’s very interesting and I love the idea,” Lenn said. “I think it brings most of the students here, and why not a free movie night at the college? I definitely have to support myself, and of course I would come again depending on the movie.”
Student Derrick Kinly agreed, saying Movie Night offered students both entertainment and community.
“This benefits MVC in a lot of ways. Many students can come together to watch a movie, have fun and meet amazing people,” Kinly said. “This also benefits MVC by giving students an opportunity if they can’t watch a movie elsewhere or just giving them something to do. I think the purpose of this is to give us something to rely on when we need a break in life or something to do in our spare time.”
Movie Night at MVC was a success, delivering nonstop comedy throughout the film and plenty of good vibes from start to finish. It was a strong turnout and a perfect way to unwind on campus.
