The Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Missouri Valley College Bridge ministry came together to host the “Fields of Faith.” The event offered students, athletes, faculty, and members of the Missouri Valley community a moment to come together in fellowship.

MVC Chaplain, the Rev. Paul List spoke about how this event can impact not only young athletes now but also future athletes.

“Seeing the next generation step up and out by faith is why I pastor, mentor, and meet with students,” List said. “Hearing students share, teach, preach, and personally fulfill the Great Commission is the most rewarding feeling on this side of Heaven.”

Students had the opportunity to experience a moment of peace and prayer together, with worship songs and testimonies shared by students, faculty, and coaches about their spiritual journeys. Prayer circles also gave participants a chance to be vulnerable and connect more deeply.

“My favorite thing about the Fields of Faith event is seeing the MoVal community: coaches, students, staff all come together to worship the Lord, encourage and support each other,” List said. “It was a cold, windy night, but the fire I felt in my heart, hearing the group sing, share, and pray together, is something that will continue to warm my heart for a very long time.”
