As the 2025–26 school year begins to wind down, fall enrollment is now open for Missouri Valley College students. Those planning to return can begin building their schedules and selecting classes that fit their academic goals.
The enrollment process is simpler than many students expect. While faculty and academic advisors are busy assisting students, scheduling an appointment is often the only step needed to get started.
“There’s nothing to be nervous about; just come in and get it done; it’s quick and easy.” Student Success Advisor Taylor Thomas said.
Some students, however, delay enrollment due to busy schedules filled with sports, coursework and other activities. Waiting too long can lead to added stress and fewer class options.
“This past semester I took classes that I didn’t really like because I waited too long to choose.” Lorenzo Porta, a student, said.
To help students stay on track, Missouri Valley is now including coaches in advising meetings for student-athletes. The goal is to encourage earlier enrollment and ensure students are selecting the right classes.
Jakub Baxa, a student-athlete, said the process was straightforward.
“We can just schedule an appointment with an advisor, which is what I did online. And I got some experience with an advisor, which was really helpful and only took about 15 minutes.” Baxa said.
Students who have not yet enrolled will continue to receive reminders to meet with an advisor as the semester comes to a close. Advisors are expected to remain busy through the summer as students finalize schedules ahead of the fall semester.
