Members of the Missouri Valley College campus are mourning the passing of one of a long-time Murrell Library staff member.
Mary Slater, who worked for the library for 24 years, died suddenly and unexpectedly. According to a release issued by the library, she took pride within librarianship and loved to serve others. She was a dedicated, life-long learner who shared her knowledge with students and helped them with being successful.
Slater’s hobbies included gardening, where she would grow flowers and vegetables. She was also a huge pet lover who devoted time to her cats
