A Marshall woman was taken to a Columbia hospital Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in Cooper County.

The crash happened at approximately 7:19 a.m. Sept. 22 near the 109.6 mile marker in the eastbound lanes of I-70, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The Highway Patrol reported a 62-year-old Marshall woman was driving a 2025 Ford Bronco east when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. The Bronco returned to the highway, crossed the center line and struck a 2017 Honda CR-V driven by a 44-year-old Boonville woman.

The Marshall woman suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia. The Boonville driver was not reported injured. Both drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.

Both vehicles were totaled and removed from the scene by Nash’s Towing, according to the report.
