Missouri Valley University will celebrate homecoming Oct. 16-17 with athletic events, alumni recognition, a parade and a block party on the Marshall square.

Friday’s activities begin with women’s soccer against Mount Mercy at 1 p.m. at Gregg-Mitchell Field. Alumni registration and campus tours begin at 2 p.m. in the Malcolm Center Bistro.

Men’s soccer faces Mount Mercy at 3:30 p.m. at Gregg-Mitchell Field. The ticketed Champions, Legacy, & Legends Banquet begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Malcolm Center’s Astrid & Emma Gymnasium. Women’s volleyball hosts William Penn at 5 p.m. in Burns Gym.

The Ed Leslie Torch Run begins at 7:30 p.m. at Gregg-Mitchell Field. A public bonfire and alumni social follows at 8 p.m. at College and Conway streets.

Saturday’s parade begins at 10 a.m., traveling from campus to the square. Tailgating opens at 11 a.m. west of Burns Athletic Complex before the Vikings face Central Methodist at 2 p.m. at Gregg-Mitchell Field. Alumni and Athletic Hall of Fame honorees will be recognized at halftime.

A public block party featuring live music and food begins at 6 p.m. on the square.
