Missouri Valley College faculty and staff are once again coming together to serve students a free Midnight Breakfast during finals week on Monday, May 5 — even if it doesn’t quite last until midnight.

The event, held from 8:30 to 10 p.m. in the dining hall, offers all MVC students a bonus meal at no cost. Whether they live on or off campus, students can enjoy breakfast favorites without needing to swipe their ID.

“It’s a way for the faculty to give back to the students,” said Terry Russell, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students. “It’s a faculty-run event where I have more volunteers than I need,” he added, emphasizing the enthusiasm staff have for helping students during a stressful time.

Sponsored by Student Affairs and Student Activities and supported by dining partner Fresh Ideas, the food is entirely free. Faculty, staff, and even the vice president of academic affairs will be on hand to serve.

Started two years ago, the event has become a Finals Week tradition — offering comfort food, stress relief, and school spirit when students need it most.

“It’s just a good deal — an extra meal for free,” Russell said.
