Missouri Valley College’s men’s soccer team started off the season ranked No. 2 in the division, but as the season has gone on, the Vikings have had a difficult time game after game.
After the multiple losses they have taken, their ranking has dropped to No. 18. Student assistant coach, Arin Johnson said the team needs to get hungry for a win.
“We could improve our attitudes towards wanting to go out and compete,” he said.
Johnson believes that the talent is there for the team, but the chemistry is being worked on with a number of new players on the team this year.
There are six games left before playoffs begin for the Vikings, meaning that the team has time to improve and build on what already works.
“Their strong point is having an organized system that helps the players develop better as athletes,” Johnson said.
