According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2024 Racka golf cart on U.S. Highway 65 north of Marshall at about 12:15 p.m. when he attempted to turn left onto Freedom Avenue. As he did so, a 2001 Freightliner struck the golf cart.
The report states the man, 52, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment. The truck driver, a 62-year-old man from Springfield, was not injured in the crash.
